The AMBASSADOR CLUB is an international association and has no political or religious affiliations. Both men and women may be members. Members regard themselves as AMBASSADORS for a society with humanitarian values and will strive to further international understanding.
AMBASSADORS have humanity and human dignity as their focal point. AMBASSADORS are tolerant, they respect the opinions, views and the religious convictions of others like their own because only the variety of religions, cultures, opinions and views enables the further development of mankind. AMBASSADORS have the courage to express their own opinion and are willing to bear a share of the responsibility for the community. AMBASSADORS are on friendly terms with each other, they support each other in all spheres of life.
In 1956 the club was founded as a gentlemen’s club in Switzerland. Since 1996 ladies are admitted. It is an international association and has no political or religious affiliations. It is managed by a President and the Management Committee of which representatives of various nations may be members.
The General Secretary manages the current matters. National Ambassador Clubs (NAC) were set up first in European countries, later in Asia and the USA. The AMBASSADORS form a community of ladies and gentlemen of all the spheres of social life. Ladies’clubs, gentlemen’s clubs and mixed clubs exist which characterize the club life as regional Ambassador Clubs (RAC).
